Guided tours
As a rule, guided tours will be conducted in English.
Advance booking for coach parties is essential to attend a guided tour.
A guided tour is included in the price of admission.
The guided tour includes station buildings, a sections mans house and the railway carriage halls. Some of these are not open to visitors on a daily basis. Due to the harsh Norwegian winter climate, no guided tours are held in the park from October to May. 
Price
NOK 50.- per person. Bus driver and guide free.
Tour operators receive special net price by agreement.
A fee of NOK 800,- per group will be charged for visits outside of normal opening hours.
Cancellation fee
Any cancellations must be made at the latest by 15.00 hrs. one day in advance. The same deadline applies for making changes to the number of persons booked for a visit. If no cancellation is received within the deadline, the visitor will be charged for the entire original amount.
Recommended time at the Norwegian Railway Museum
To make your visit a complete experience, we recommend that you leave enough time to enjoy all we have to offer.
* For a visit/orientation in the main exhibition, we recommend 1 hour.
* For guided tour in the open-air museum + main exhibition, we recommend 1.5 hours.
* For guided tour in the open-air museum + ”Tertitt-train” + main exhibition, we recommend 2 hours.
Directions/access for coaches
Visiting the museum require any visiting vehicles to pass through one of various railway underpasses. We have listed below maximum heights for vehicles when using various access routes.
* Nystuveien (max. headroom 4.3 m)
* Vognveien/Maxi shopping centre (max. headroom 3.6 m)
* Nordvikveien (max. headroom 3 m).
