By bus:
Bus no. 1 from the railway station/town centre towards Hamar west.
By car/coach:
From main roads/town centre, follow the signs for "Museene" and then signs for "Jernbanemuseet". For coaches, one of the following underpasses is recommended:
- Vognveien / Maxi shopping centre (max. headroom 3.6 meter)
- Nystuveien (max. headroom 4.3 meter).
By foot from town centre:
From the centre of town, follow Mjøsa westwards and walk across the Domkirkeodden/Hedmark Museum area. The walk is approx. 3 kilometres, and should take 30-45 minutes.
